ASAM would like to encourage you to use your voice, expertise, and knowledge to increase addiction prevention, treatment, remission, and recovery through these opportunities.

ASAM encourages you to use your voice, expertise, and knowledge to increase addiction prevention, treatment, remission, and recovery through volunteer opportunities. Here you will find opportunities to serve on ASAM’s councils, committees, subcommittees as well as task force groups. Terms of service can be short or long-term depending on the charge of the group.

Opportunities will be posted throughout the year so come back often to see what is available. ASAM Committees and Councils are comprised of members only. Subcommittees, Writing Committees, and Task Forces may be comprised of members and non-members.

ASAM Publications Council Call for Applications

探花合集 is seeking up to 3 members to serve on the Publications Council beginning in January 2027. Council members should have addiction medicine experience and familiarity with the writing and publishing process. The Publications Council is charged with overseeing ASAM publications. The Council supports approving editors of publications, evaluates proposals for new publications, ensures adequate publisher performance, and regularly furnishes the Board of Directors with updates on publication activities.

ASAM Financial Sustainability Subcommittee Call for Applications

探花合集 is seeking several subject matter experts to serve on the Financial Sustainability Subcommittee, a subcommittee of the Practice Management and Regulatory Affairs Committee (PMRAC). The Financial Sustainability Subcommittee advises ASAM on physician payment, coding, reimbursement, and payer policy issues affecting addiction medicine.

Journal of Addiction Medicine Editorial Fellowship Program – Application Open

The (JAM) seeks 3 Editorial Fellows to serve a 2-year term with JAM. Applicants should have at least 2 years of addiction research experience; hold an MD, DO, PhD, DSc, or PsyD degree (or equivalent); have completed clinical specialty training; and hold faculty positions at the instructor or assistant professor level or an equivalent junior faculty level.

Fellows will commit to 3-4 hours a week and participate in weekly 30-minute conference calls with the editorial team.
